Ingredients:
- 12 Meyer lemons, or mixture of lemons and limes Peel only, No pith, (make sure they are not waxed)
- 3 Sprigs of lavender, (optional but lovely)
- 2 liters of light rum or vodka
- 3 cups of sugar
- 3 cups of water
Instructions:

- Put the lemon peels,lavender into the vodka(rum) in a container and let stand for 4weeks
- Strain the mixture into a decanter
- Mix the sugar and water in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until the sugar has dissolved
- Let cool before adding the vodka(rum) mixture
